IT Support Specialist

What are our Expectations?

The ideal candidate for the IT Support Specialist position will have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a newly created IT department and will be responsible for maintaining the information technology infrastructure for Interim Physicians offices throughout the country. Responsibilities include providing support for our information technology environment and working on IT operations infrastructure projects either independently or in conjunction with operations managers. This support will be mainly done from our St. Louis headquarters, but occasional travel to our other locations may be required.

As an Interim Physicians IT Support Specialist, you will:

• Develop a comprehensive IT support and management plan
• Provide help desk support for employees requiring help with technical issues related to Windows, Microsoft Office, CRM systems and other custom applications
• Manage and troubleshoot networks in all five offices
• Manage and troubleshoot phone systems in all five offices
• Manage data backups
• Set up, customize and update Windows platform desktops and laptops
• Perform hardware repairs and software configuration modifications where possible
• Manage IT vendor relations
• Work directly with the senior management team, and report to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Information Systems or the equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferably hospital-based)
• Experience with web applications development and support (HTML, CSS, PHP/MySQL)
• Database configuration and management
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in problem solving
• Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be available for 24x7 support, be a team player and be willing to travel occasionally
