LOUIS, MO (April 21, 2011) - Interim Physicians, a physician staffing firm that provides temporary physician coverage to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country, today announces that Frank Phillips, Vice President of Quality Assurance at Interim Physicians, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO).
NALTO members elected Phillips to serve as a member of the NALTO Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning April 28, 2011. "NALTO is an organization that I believe in very strongly, and have been a part of since its inception in 2001. I fully subscribe to the code of ethics and practice standards that NALTO has set for the industry, and will make certain that Interim Physicians, LLC upholds these principles." According to the organization, "the purpose of NALTO is to provide a foundation of industry standards and ethical guidelines for companies offering locum tenens physician recruitment services. These guidelines provide the building blocks for relationships between NALTO members and their clients." With over 22 years of experience in the locum tenens industry, Phillips has a sterling reputation as an industry leader. His lengthy bio includes the founding of one of the largest locum tenens firms as well as serving as the president of another large locums firm. Since 2009, Phillips has served as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Interim Physicians. Phillips’ election earned a ringing endorsement from Tim Hand, Chief Executive Officer of Interim Physicians. "As Vice President of Quality Assurance, Frank is committed to delivering quality medical care, where not enough exists now. Frank truly wants to change people’s lives by providing excellent medical providers to the communities we serve. The NALTO organization will benefit greatly from Frank's industry knowledge, his relationship-building skills and his passionate commitment to excellence." Hand previously served a three-year on the NALTO Board from 2007 to 2010. Phillips plays a vital role at Interim Physicians by spearheading the "Advanced PeopleCare" quality assurance initiative. This innovative campaign aims to set the highest standards for quality patient care in the locums industry. As Phillips explains, "Advanced PeopleCare is a relentless pursuit of quality healthcare outcomes through the measurement and improvement of the quantity of work provided, quality of work delivered and customer service exhibited by our physicians." Phillips says he can be counted on to serve as an active leader in the industry during the course of his two-year term, especially in matters of quality assurance, one of his many areas of expertise.
