A Tier 1 hospital with 600 beds in a large Missouri metropolitan area was left holding the bag when a Radiology group abruptly walked out over a dispute. Interim Physicians arrived at the right time and was quickly able to deploy two Interventional Radiologists in a jiffy, saving the day for their Radiology department.

Renee, the Radiology department manager, was in dire straits after the Radiology group walked out, and was desperate for Interventional Radiologist coverage. Locum tenens physicians were the only viable short-term option for such a large department that needed coverage pronto.

Shortly thereafter, Dr. Paul referred a friend of his, another Interventional Radiologist, to the facility. The two friends had frequently traveled the country together, working locum tenens assignments in stimulating environments.
