HEM/ONC Locum – Northeast Kentucky – Clinic
License Status Required – Yes they need KY or IMLC
Shift times- Monday–Friday, 4–5 days/week, 8a-5p (minimum availability is 2 weeks a month)
Dates– May 2026 – Ongoing
Census– 18+ patients/day
EMR- EPIC (Beacon for infusion)
Credentialing Timeframe- 8-10 weeks
– Types of Cases Seen Daily?
- 60% Hematology / 40% Oncology
- Both solid tumor and malignant hematology; heavy benign hematology volume
- Typical diagnoses: lung, colon, and breast cancers; lymphoma; NHL; CML; all types of anemia (AML not treated)
- Stem cell transplants referred out to UK or OSU
What does a typical day look like? Robust support structure including 5–6 physicians, 5 APRNs, dietitians, dedicated pharmacy team, and social workers
- 15–20 patients/day to start; goal of 30–35 once established
- New consults: ~30 hematology / ~10 oncology per month (fluctuates)
- No inpatient rounding or inpatient census at this time
- Supervision: Direct infusion supervision required; likely supervising a nurse or two.
