At our core, we believe our responsibility is much more than playing matchmaker. We are in the business of changing people’s lives by making healthcare accessible when and where it’s needed in the pursuit of quality patient care.
We’ve refined our process over the course of thousands of locum tenens assignments. Our approach allows physicians and healthcare facilities to focus on the reason they chose medicine – providing quality patient care.
We’ve built strong relationships during our decades-long tenure, and we’ll work with you to find just the right locum tenens opportunity for you.
Do you want to earn extra income, have a more flexible work schedule, or work in areas where patients are underserved by doctors? We are dedicated to delivering quality care wherever and whenever it’s needed, and with healthcare reform is under serious discussion these days, there are even more reasons work as a locum. We’ll match you with the right opportunity, and manage the non-clinical aspects of your job so you can focus on what you do best: providing personalized care for patients.
We deliver rewarding, desirable medical career options, whether you’re just starting out or thinking about retiring. We give you control of your hours, income, and lifestyle and we’ll work endlessly to match you with just the right opportunity, even if you’re clueless about where to begin.

Ken Teufel, M.D., has over 30 years of experience in the locum tenens field.
After several years in private practice, Dr. Teufel founded Physicians Relief Network to address the need for physicians in underserved rural areas of Texas. In 1989, PRN was acquired by Interim Physicians. Since then, Dr. Teufel has continued to work with Interim Physicians in the areas of risk management, quality assurance and physician-client relations.
In 1978, Dr. Teufel took a leave of absence from his private medical practice to work at the Ban Nam Yao refugee camp in Thailand. It was here that he became acutely aware of the relationship between poverty, culture, and health disparities. In 1999, he obtained a Master of Arts degree in intercultural relations from Antioch University and the Intercultural Communication Institute. In 1999, Dr. Teufel also introduced the undergraduate course in health communication at Texas State University, where he taught the course until 2007.
He is currently a member of the Advisory Council to the university’s Department of Communication Studies. He also maintains a close relationship with the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He was awarded his M.D. from UTMB in 1970.
