Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised everywhere else. I’ve lived in eleven states (so far) over the course of my life.

Do you have pets? If so, tell us about them:
I do not have any pets yet, but I’m considering adopting a dog – specifically a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

What is your favorite type of food, and why?
I love barbecue. Honestly, who needs a reason to love barbecue?

What is your funniest pet peeve?
I can’t stand being able to hear what is in another person’s mouth – whether it’s food, gum, spit, it doesn’t matter. Yuck.

What is your favorite website, and why?
It’s a toss-up between DSW and Amazon. I love online shopping. Sometimes I get packages in the mail and have no idea what’s in them. It’s like Christmas, except I bought it…for myself.

Where is your favorite vacationdestination, and why?
I love any place that offers copious amounts of adult beverages (wink, wink) and good food. Paris was a lovely destination to meet that end.

What is your favorite sports team?
I love my Michigan Wolverines, but I’ll occasionally cheer for the Spartans if they’re playing against Ohio State. Go Blue!

What is your favorite type of music, and why?
I’m a music nerd. I love R&B but will occasionally switch it up with some country. It’s hard not to like Chris Stapleton.

What is your greatest guilty pleasure?
I am so entertained by celebrity gossip. I don’t have any drama in my own life (intentionally), so reading about what’s happening in someone else’s life give me a good dose of pettiness. Don’t judge me!

What’s your favorite quote, and who said it?
We do what we must until we can afford to do what we please. – David Cain, Sr. (my father)

Who do you most admire, and why?
I admire my dad – not just because he’s my dad (although I am a proud card-carrying member of Daddy’s Girls International), but because he has had such a historic career. He was the first Black man to serve in 13 of the 14 executive positions he has held.

Who is your favorite historical figure?
Queen Hatshepsut has always intrigued me. She ruled Egypt as a pharaoh, often donning male attire and a false beard.

How would you spend an ideal evening?
I’m a huge fan of game nights. I’m very competitive and love a good, light-hearted night of trash-talking.
