Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived there until I was nine years old.  At that time, my family moved to Fontana, California were most of my childhood memories were formed.

What do you most like about your job?
Choosing a career is something I don’t take lightly.  We spend so much of our lives working; therefore, I look for stability, ethics, and a reward for my work.  What I like most about the locum’s industry is knowing we are fulfilling a dire need in the healthcare industry.  I cannot imagine how hospitals would operate without it.  What is like about my job is the reward, knowing patients will always have providers there to help them where and when necessary if my colleagues and I find the best healthcare workers to fill those shifts.

Do you have pets, if so, tell us about them?
I have a 9-pound, 2-ounce Shitzu/Poodle named Daisy.  She just turned three and she makes me smile. She has a wonderful demeanor and is quite the character.

Who is your favorite author, and why?
Brene brown is one of my favorite authors for many reasons.  She inspires me to be a better person, personally and professionally.
Each book or podcast does not disappoint.
The same could be said about Don Miguel Ruiz.  However, when I read any of his books, I need to have a pen and paper in hand ready to write down all the amazing takeaways.  Every page is packed with wisdom, and I find myself wanting to talk about it with everyone I know.  His books make some of the best book club gatherings because they enlighten most readers and make me want to apply everything I learn.

What is your favorite type of food, and why?
Whereas most of us find ourselves craving sugar or salty foods, I, myself, gravitate towards pasta.  Mix that in with any kind of seafood and I am one happy girl.  Yes, pasta is a comfort food. Whereas seafood is just the most delicious food I can imagine. And the added benefit is that it is also healthy, so I don’t have any guilt associated with my indulging addiction.

What is your funniest pet peeve?
My funniest pet peeve is probably only funny to me because only I know what goes on in my head when this happens.  To say I love the outdoors is an understatement.  So, finding me on a trail, camping, pickleball court, the lake, etc. is common. There are typically others on my path, and I believe I am a friendly person.  When I say hello and others look right at me without any acknowledgement it bothers me.  I understand “stranger danger” for children, but I don’t see the harm in acknowledging a friendly hello from a fellow adult lover of the outdoors.  But oh, the funny thoughts I have had in my head after I pass the unapproachable sole. Don’t worry, I have been respectful of boundaries, but I want to sing and dance my way to a friendly hello.

What is your favorite website, and why?
As strange as this may sound, Wikipedia is my favorite website. Granted, it is not scholarly, and it is open access. Hence, I understand I need to be cautious when it comes to information on there.  However, I was always called Curious George as a kid. I have always been interested in learning about everything.  I want to research and understand anything and everything.  The Wikipedia format just suits the way I think and want my information delivered.  The “Quick Facts” conveys the information in a format that is perfect in my opinion.

Where is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
Strangely, I have not traveled much but I absolutely love the adventure and experience when I have the opportunity. The beach has always been my ideal vacation destination.  I am a lover of water to my core. It is my happy place.  It doesn’t matter if I am on a boat, kayak, paddleboard, jet skis, scuba diving, or just camping next to the water, I am happy and at peace.  If that was crystal clear water like Fuji or the Bahamas, that is even better.

What’s your favorite quote, and who said it
“If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.” – Unknown

How would you spend and ideal evening?
My ideal evening is watching the sunset on the water. A typical evening for me would be getting off work, throwing my paddleboard or kayak on the top of my car, and launching it on a lake nearby. Whether I have a friend or family member with me, I will still relax and unwind.  It is my favorite way to end a day.
