Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and lived there until my parents moved us to Tempe, Arizona at age 10, and then have been in the Phoenix area most of my life, outside short stints in Denver, and Laguna Hills, CA.

What is a day at work like for you?
I like to stay focused on the duties and behaviors that lead to accomplishing my daily and long-term work goals. I always try to keep a positive, confident attitude and be a good team player. But I am at work to ultimately make money, and I focus my attention on those activities that lead to success for me, my team, and my organization.

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy the sense of accomplishment and truly helping my clients and candidates achieve their goals. As example, I have physicians I placed 30 years ago that are still in that job, and sort of cool we can have positive influence on others lives to such a high degree. (And all the patients the patients have helped over the years) I love doing my job well so that production has positive impact on me, my teammates and owners, and we all make more money in the end, and we all have some fun doing it, even though all the hard work and frustrations and efforts we face daily…

Do you have pets? If so, tell us about them:
I have two 15-year-old pound met Chihuahua mixes, (Mojo and Sammy) and a pet parrot. Harley. (Green cheek conure) I have had dogs all my life (German Shepherds, labs, West Highland terriers, Papillon, poodles) I got my parrot Harley years ago and love it. I enjoy wild birds also. We assumed Harley was a boy until a month ago, when she laid an egg. Harley has a lifespan of 30, so will be around awhile, and I will always have dogs around.

Who is your favorite author, and why?
Louis L’Amour writes old western fiction and John D McDonald writes mystery detective fiction. Both are excellent. I am a huge Western history fan, and overall history, especially WW2. Based on my love of history, I most often read factual historical material and biographies/autobiographies.

What is your favorite type of food, and why?
Healthy food, seafood, steak, chicken, vegetables and fruit. I am up every day at 4.15 am rotating working out at gym doing weights, and climbing a 1k foot elevation mountain., Staying healthy is key, and diet is part of that. Favorite food is lobster. I will break from health and have a crème brulee occasionally as that is my favorite desert.

Where is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
My wife and I visited Italy for our 35th wedding anniversary and loved it. Great food, history, wine, people and scenery, so it has it all for us. In the US, we love Santa Barabara, California as close to us, and beautiful ocean scenery and wine country.

What is your favorite sports team?
I root for all the Arizona teams (Cardinals, DBacks and Suns) My wife’s company has season tickets to all 3 local teams, so we get out to some games, and got to go to the World Series 2 years ago when DBacks played. Also follow my college alumni teams Arizona State University. And as a kid, I was a huge fan of Baltimore Orioles 3rd baseman Brooks Robinson, and still follow the Orioles.

What is your favorite type of music, and why?
I enjoy virtually all type of music, depending on the mood, but recently been listening to Country music, with some 80’s music mixed in to break it up.

What’s your favorite quote, and who said it?
“You have power over your mind -not outside events -Realize this, and you will find strength. Marcus Aurelius. — Because I am a huge believer in the power of positive thought, and staying positive.

How would you spend an ideal evening?
Mostly hanging out at home with my wife and dogs and bird, occasionally a sports event, or dinner out.
