Locum APP – Full Scope Orthopedics – Northwest Minnesota
License Status Required – Strongly preferred to have MN lic due to payor enrollment timeframe
Shift times- Typically 7:00 AM start; occasional surgery days extending past 5:00-6:00 PM
Dates- Monday – Friday starting in September or as soon as credential
Census- 8-10 patients/day when working independently
EMR- Epic
Credentialing Timeframe? 60-90 days
Types of Cases Seen Daily? General orthopedics as well as total joint no joint injections for sure splinting a casting and somewhat of independent clinic number of surgeon supported is one full-time and one part-time no other orthopedic APP's
What does a typical day look like? Clinic and OR coverage; independent clinic or working alongside orthopedic surgeon; inpatient postoperative rounding; OR 1-2 days/week. Working independently in clinic would be 8 to 10 if working independently otherwise would be in the clinic with the orthopedic surgeon. Only inpatient would be hospital rounding postoperative and trauma only during a Monday through Friday no weekends or holidays or overnight. OR 1 to two days per week.
